Quite the Drama!
Sarah is living a different life now that she has avenged her parents, and she is enjoying the peace best she can, whilst wondering whether the past might catch up with them. A year later and past ghosts are causing havoc and sending Sarah on a dangerous path back to her old ways. Facing the challenges presented to her, Sarah fights to keep the life she worked so hard for and to restore the much needed peace in life and her soul.
So much action, adventure and drama. There is literally never a dull moment with Sarah Sawyer and SW Andersen has delivered an insightful and meaningful sequel, with great character development. Sarah is a character you can’t help but admire. She has overcome so much and constantly has to fight against all that threatens to disturb that inner peace she has found, which for Sarah is not the simplest task.
I love how protective she is when it comes to Jo and her friends. Sarah stopped at nothing to protect her and make sure that any threats to them were eliminated as seamlessly as possible. Even when things didn’t go to plan, Sarah embraced the adventure and uncertainty to fight against evil forces that threatened her happiness.
I really enjoyed the story, from the dramatic bits that had me on the edge of my seat to the moments shared between Sarah and Jo. They really complement one another and provide strength and hope when either of them are feeling a little vulnerable. It was so easy to get swept up in the emotion of the story, especially at times where Sarah is fearful, on edge, and itching to deliver justice.
As this is part of the Sarah Sawyer series, you will benefit from having read the first book in series before embarking on this adventure. I hope we see more from Sarah and Jo in the future, and highly recommend this book.
