Girl Love Happens – Season Two by T.B. Markinson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

College fun never ends!

Tegan and Gemma are trying to survive the second year of college, but Tegan finds herself being blackmailed and trying to get rid of the evidence to rectify the situation. It’s not as simple as she thinks, especially when Gemma is having difficulty not being jealous.

With new dramas and challenges, there was never a dull moment in this season of Tegan and Gemma’s story. They really did get to experience all the drama of college life, with relationships that were getting more complicated than ever. Tegan was her usual self, bringing the light relief and comedy to situations where she also created her own stress and complications. Nothing was as simple as it really should have been, because Tegan just worried about Gemma and her friend’s reactions, and the impacts actions would have on all of them if secrets came out. In being blackmailed, she handled it pretty well on top of everything else she was finding strange.

When she went home, the way her parents were behaving left Tegan a little on edge, especially as she was already working so hard not to let slip about her and Gemma’s relationship for fear of their reaction. She also bumped into old acquaintances to add to the drama, and made some new friends. As usual these new characters brought all the fun and quirkiness I expect from T.B’s wonderful characters. Like Tegan, her new acquaintance, Cuddy, added to the mix of commotion and had his own part to play in the big mess Tegan found herself in this time.

I really enjoyed this season and cannot wait to learn what the next one brings for Tegan and Gemma.
