Super Exciting!
Connate Olivienne and Captain Tosh find themselves thrown into the mission of a lifetime to finally start trying to undo the damage of one family that has affected so many generations. While doing this they are also finally trying to solve the mystery of the Makers, so there isn’t a moment to lose.
I have loved every moment of this epic series and cannot believe this is the final installment. You do need to have read the other books in the series before starting on this one, but the journey, although long, is so worth it. There is always so much packed into these adventures and plenty to savour, especially with the electrifying chemistry shared between Olivienne and Tosh. I adore them, and this adventure only strengthened their relationship and connection because so much was at stake and being revealed.
There were many a revelation that were not just exciting but completely unexpected. After all we already knew about Olivienne and Tosh, all that had happened to their world and the people, and yet K. Aten still managed to deliver surprises and exciting twists and turns to keep me on the edge of my seat until the very end. Part of me really hopes Olivienne and Tosh will be back in future because I have this feeling they aren’t quite finished yet, but it has been a joy to be a part of their journey as they grew personally and professionally. They are heroes, and embody everything admirable about asserting your strength and power for good and protecting people.
A great end to an epic adventure that I couldn’t put down and thoroughly enjoyed!
